Mrs. Stravitz was born and raised in Scottsdale. She received her undergraduate in biochemistry and molecular biology in 2007 and played soccer at Mercer University. She is married since 2005 to her best friend, Zach. They have five children: Colton (class of ‘26), Lucy (class of ‘29), Gwendolyn (class of ‘32), Waverly (class of ‘33) and Julia (class of ‘35). They also have two dogs (an Aussie and a Dutch shepherd) and a flock of chickens. She absolutely loves being in nature, hiking, fishing, hunting, gardening, watching her kids play their sports, and spending time with animals.
She started teaching part-time with a homeschool co-op in 2020 and found it wonderfully rewarding and challenging. About 5 months prior to applying to SCA, she felt the Lord put on her heart to teach and mentor in a more full-time position. She is looking forward to sharing and inspiring students to see God’s work shine through in science.
