Dr. Brent M. Hodges
Superintendent

Dr. Hodges is a school leader whose tenure in education includes having served as a district head of schools for a 5-campus school, assistant head of schools for a Christian school, and principal among other leadership positions. Before entering into school leadership Brent was a secondary math instructor and taught financial literacy to teens. He is a certified Superintendent, certified Principal, and also holds secondary teaching credentials in math and business, all in Arizona and California. Prior to entering the field of education, Brent was a Certified Public Accountant and worked for large multi-national firms including Arthur Andersen, Deloitte and Touche, and GE Capital. He blends this experience to assist schools in making prudent financial decisions.

Dr. Hodges possesses a vast background in education. He has worked in independent schools, Christian and Catholic schools, and public school. He has assisted schools in expansion, opening of new high schools, changes in ownership, and assisted in transitioning newly acquired schools through the paradigm shift of a change in ownership. He has led schools through major initiatives, curriculum mapping, accreditation, building projects, data-informed decision making, and academic program rollouts. He is a passionate and relationship-driven leader.

Dr. Hodges received his Educational Doctorate in Leadership Studies from Creighton University. In addition he holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, a Bachelor’s of Accountancy from the University of San Diego, a post baccalaureate teacher certification through Ottawa University, and completed the College of Financial Planning program through the University of Phoenix.

Dr. Hodges is an ardent proponent of Christian worldview education and believes in being a part of providing our world with highly competent future Christian leaders who are not afraid to make the difficult decisions. He does not subscribe to the view that a top quality educational experience and a Christian education are mutually exclusive. He believes in kids, and contrary to the common perception, he believes that “kids these days” are a bright light for a strong future in this country and this world. Brent has served on many boards and works with several charitable organizations with kids as their focus, including being a member of the Leaders of Distinction Advisory Board with MASK (Mothers Awareness on School-Aged Kids), a member of Grand Canyon University's K-12 Alliance Advisory Board, was treasurer for Scottsdale Leadership and a member of Class XXXI, and he served as the board chair for Jackson Hole Classical Academy, a Christian Classical school in Wyoming.

Brent is married to his remarkably patient wife, Kim, and is blessed with four wonderful children: T.J., Kaylie, Carter, and Hudson.
