Since 1968, Scottsdale Christian Academy has partnered with outstanding organizations to take learning beyond textbooks. Our middle school students in 6th–8th grade participate in unique, purposeful field trips that create lifelong memories and deepen their understanding of God’s world.
These experiences do more than educate—they inspire. Designed to build character, strengthen friendships, and connect faith with learning, each trip helps students see the world through a Christ-centered lens and reminds them that education is an exciting journey.
6th Grade – San Diego, CA
Our 6th grade overnight field trip to San Diego includes hands-on learning and exploration. Students will dive into marine life at the world-renowned Birch Aquarium, experience history aboard the USS Midway Museum, and enjoy the beauty and science of nature at the San Diego Zoo plus much more. This exciting trip builds lasting memories and friendships while connecting classroom learning to the world beyond school walls.
7th Grade – Catalina Island
The 7th grade dives into an unforgettable marine biology experience on Catalina Island. From snorkeling in crystal-clear waters to studying ocean ecosystems, students bring classroom science to life in a breathtaking, real-world environment.
8th Grade – East Coast Trip
Our 8th graders cap off middle school with an inspiring East Coast trip that brings history, faith, and leadership to life. Highlights include visits to the U.S. Capitol, Smithsonian Museums, Bible Museum, and national monuments—helping students grow in their understanding of our nation’s heritage and the biblical values that continue to shape it.
At SCA, learning extends far beyond campus—and into the world God has made.
