GRADES 6-12
Middle School/High School Pathways creates a supportive environment for students and teaches them tools for success.
The Pathways teachers will provide three tiers of support for students in the Pathways program:
Tier I
The students in Tier I will have a Pathways Content class as an elective. The Pathways teachers will provide individualized assistance with educational planning, goal setting, time management, organization, and learning strategies. They will also receive an individualized Accommodative Educational Plan that will be implemented in the student’s general education classrooms for further assistance.
Tier II
The students in Tier II will NOT have a Pathways Content class in their schedule. They will have an Accommodative Educational Plan that will offer accommodations in their general education classrooms. They will also have a Pathways case manager as their Advisory teacher for check-ins 3X a week. The case managers will ensure all accommodations are in place and needs are being met throughout the school year.
Tier III
Tier III offers the least amount of support. The students in this tier will continue to have accommodations in their classrooms and may use the testing center to take exams. They will not have a Pathways Content class nor a case manager as their Advisory teacher.
