Community Coffee | Helping Our Kids Respond To Stressors

February 27, 2025

Come as you are and connect with fellow SCA families, staff, and faculty! Afterward, join us for our first Parent University event of the year, where Licensed Professional Counselor Theresa Hay will share valuable insights on “Helping Our Kids Respond to Stressors.”

Theresa is a passionate advocate for mental health, with a holistic approach that integrates mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. She works with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, body image struggles, anger management, and domestic violence, while also specializing in trauma-informed care. Additionally, Theresa has experience helping individuals navigate challenges related to sexual addiction and betrayal trauma.

Theresa brings a warm, approachable style to her work, connecting easily with children as young as six and teens. Her journey of healing shapes her unique perspective. Growing up in a home marked by mental illness, medical challenges, and chemical dependency, she found hope and transformation through her faith. Her personal experience has deepened her belief that your past does not define your future.

Theresa has been married to her college sweetheart for 36 years, and together, they cherish their three grown children and four grandchildren (with more to come!). She currently serves as a Senior Supervising Clinician for Christian Counseling Services, a team of over 40 licensed therapists who are dedicated to providing Christ-centered care.

We look forward to seeing you there!
